Who is The Mystery Guest On Foo Fighters New Album
It’s the burning question that’s driving everyone crazy!

Is it Lady Gaga, who seems to be hanging out with the band a lot lately, or maybe Justin Timberlake who dropped into the studio quite frequently during the recording? Dave Grohl did say it was “Biggest Pop Star in the World” and these two definitely fit the bill.

But who else has been often called the Biggest Pop Star in the World by numerous music critics? Hello people – it’s ADELE! Sure, Grohl and company are extremely tight-lipped about it and won’t say who it is but the fans seem to have “guessed” it. Besides the biggest pop star revelation another thing that has the fans convinced is Greg Kurstin – who is not just Adele’s producer but also happens to be the man behind the Foo Fighters new album “Concrete and Gold”. The pieces keep falling into place don’t they? Here’s more.

During an interview in which David Grohl kept on teasing the fans about the mystery guest who will really surprise them, he also mentioned that the star “sings backup on one of the heaviest songs on the record”. And who’s best known for power and emotion – it’s the “Someone Like You” singer!

Adele has always been a risk taker and fans can easily see her collaborating with the modern day rock torchbearers. Her vocal range allows her to be an eclectic singer and she can effortlessly croon like a scornful ex-lover, a loving wife and a wallowing-in-heartbreak ex-girlfriend with the same soulful ability.

“Concrete and Gold” is the 9th album by the Foo Fighters and the band calls it the biggest sounding album they have ever made. The entire experience has been a new one for the American rockers as they recorded at the Hollywood’s East West studios. Earlier they were used to their own place but working with Greg Kurstin allowed them to step out of their comfort zone.

A big studio, it’s booked in advance by several other musicians. While there Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee got to hang out with the likes of Jason Bonham and Deep Purple. Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake also dropped in to work on their own music. Likening the experience to that of a college dormitory, David Grohl stated that everyone had a blast together, hanging out and drinking whiskey. Every so often the Foo Fighters would invite these musicians to sing some backing vocals. So, several famous artists have featured on this new album, though all remain a surprise.

The Foo Fighters have premiered five songs from the album so far including “La Dee Da”, “Sunday Rain”, “The Sky Is a Neighborhood” and the lead single “Run” that was accompanied by a high concept video. The latest song “Dirty Water” was released in their July 4 performance in Paris and it resonates with Greg Kurstin’s sophisticated style arrangements and compositions.

The band has also announced a US tour that starts October 7 at the Cal Jam in San Bernardino, California and will run through December 12 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. “Concrete and Gold” releases September 15, so till then keep guessing about the album details.
