In early years, the team’s performance was slow due to some of its major players facing injuries and unable to participate in games. The great thing is that all home games during those period were still a soldout. In 1992, the team acquired 7-foot inch tall man Shaquille O’Neal who earned the team a 41-41 record. However, the Magic could not participate in the 1993 NBA Playoffs due to some reasons. When Orlando Magic returned to the conference finals for the first time since 1996, they had to face Cleveland Cavaliers who were defeated with the Magic’s key player Dwight Howard scoring 40 points, which was a high score for him in a playoff game. The series was also succeeded by the team and they also won the rights to face a prominent team in a major tournament. Currently, Orlando Magic is contributing a huge share in the construction of a new arena which will be an entertainment center replacing Amyway Arena, the traditional center.
