Over the last year, team management has been altered and now the Orlando Magic have restructured under a new coach and General Manager. Founded in 1989, the franchise-team has sported many icons of basketball, such as Grant Hill and Shaquille O’Neal. Orlando Magic Tickets Orlando Magic franchise was acquired by the Devos family in 1991 with Richard DeVos becoming the owner of the franchise. In early years, the team’s performance was slow due to some of its major players facing injuries and unable to participate in games. The great thing is that all home games during those period were still a soldout. In 1992, the team acquired 7-foot inch tall man Shaquille O’Neal who earned the team a 41-41 record. However, the Magic could not participate in the 1993 NBA Playoffs due to some reasons. A couple of years later, the team proved successful by defeating Boston Celtics and the Indian Pacers, and reached the NBA Finals.

When Orlando Magic returned to the conference finals for the first time since 1996, they had to face Cleveland Cavaliers who were defeated with the Magic’s key player Dwight Howard scoring 40 points, which was a high score for him in a playoff game. The series was also succeeded by the team and they also won the rights to face a prominent team in a major tournament. Currently, Orlando Magic is contributing a huge share in the construction of a new arena which will be an entertainment center replacing Amyway Arena, the traditional center.
