Historical Timeline of Dallas-Stars

The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team. As the name would indicate, the team is located in Dallas, Texas. The National Hockey League (NHL) is divided by divisions. One of these is the Pacific Division, of which the Dallas Stars are members. In the fall of 1966 there were talks of expanding the National Hockey League. The following year, this expansion led to the formation of the team under the name of the Minnesota North Stars. Initially they started out playing from Bloomington which is in Minnesota. The 1993-1994 National Hockey League seasonal playoffs saw the franchise changing hands from Minnesota to Dallas. The infamous Reunion Arena was responsible for hosting the team until 2001. From then on to date, the team plays out of the nearby American Airlines Centre. Over the years, the team has given several memorable games.
