Huge Demand for David Gilmour Tour Tickets Prompts Extra North American Shows

Craving more David Gilmour? Well you’re in luck as the Pink Floyd frontman and lead guitarist announced few additional shows for his 2016 spring tour, which will be his first trip to North America in ten years. Gilmour’s fourth solo LP “Rattle That Lock” will be releasing worldwide on September 18 and is all set to enjoy a push with selected shows in major North American cities. Earlier the phenomenal guitarist had announced four concerts only, making stops in New York, Chicago, LA and Toronto. Although the cities remain the same but the concerts have been doubled on popular demand.

Back in March, David Gilmour announced his new album and alerted the diehard fans that he will be touring Europe and UK in September. “Rattle That Lock Tour” will kick start on September 5 in Brighton and the European leg will end on October 18, 2015 in London. Most of the shows on the European leg are already sold out and fans will have to turn to secondary market if they want to buy David Gilmour tickets. The superstar will be rocking the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on September 23, 24 & 25. As soon as the tickets’ availability was announced, sales started and all three shows sold out within half an hour. Immediately two more shows were added to the venue and he will now perform on October 2 & 3 as well. While limited tickets are available on ExciteEvents, fans will have to pay hefty price to attend the legend’s concert. The average ticket price for London show is $2556, whereas the September 24 event has the highest rate, priced at $2688.

The North American trek will start on March 24, 2016, from Los Angeles. Gilmour will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on two consecutive dates, average ticket price for which is $574 on ExciteEvents. His next stop will be Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, performances scheduled on March 31 and April 1. Both the shows carry a price tag of $280 and $252, respectively. Chicago’s United Center will also host two concerts and David Gilmour will wrap up the leg on April 12 at the Madison Square Garden. David Gilmour New York tickets are the most expensive ones on the docket, average price stated as $610 on ExciteEvents.

According to the information released on David Gilmour’s official website, strict terms and conditions apply on all of his shows, and named purchasers and photo ID will be required at the entrance.
