The Judds Extend “Final Tour” Adding 15 More Shows
Wynonna Ellen Judd honors the legacy of her late mother Naomi Judd with whom she formed the duo, The Judds. The mother-daughter duo won five Grammy Awards for their country performances and now Wynonna is paying tribute to her mother with the “Final Tour”. Performing all across the US, the tour was expected to wrap up in late October 2022 but owing to the huge demand for The Judds tickets, now additional 15 shows have been announced, kicking off on January 26, 2023 from Hershey. Wynonna along with her touring band will perform in Tulsa, Kansas City, Omaha, Dayton, Savannah, and many other cities, before wrapping up the trek in Fort Lauderdale on February 25, 2023. Joining Wynonna as the special guests will be Ashley McBryde, Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile, Little Big Town, and Martina McBride.
The Greatest Party Gets Extension
According to the talented singer, adding more dates to the tour was “a no brainer”. While making the announcement Wynonna Ellen Judd stated, “The tour has been so life-giving and the fans have been a gift during the time of grieving as I was honoring my mom.”
Earlier the tour was to feature both mom and daughter but after the tragic death of Naomi Judd in April 2022, Wynonna decided to take the road solo. Naomi died one day before The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The ongoing tour sees the country-pop star welcoming generations of Judds fans as they together celebrate the duo’s astounding music.
A Bluesy Recollection by Wynonna Judd
While in quarantine during the peak of pandemic, Wynonna released an EP titled “Recollections”. There was a noticeable shift from classic country to a bluesy feel and the listeners loved each and every song on the album. It saw the 58-year-old sensation give her all-time favorite tracks a new touch and features covers like “King Bee” by James Moore. Her subtle harmonies on the renditions honor the artists she has been inspired by over the years. According to Wynonna, it was a liberating feeling performing someone else’s writing and letting go with a craft that’s already a hit.
