Pentatonix Celebrates Second Grammy With Fans
Perhaps nothing defines destiny as appropriately as Pentatonix. The acapella band that takes its name from the five-note Pentatonic scale, and was made on a whim, has just won its second Grammy. To celebrate the occasion, the band is going on a country wide tour.
It seems there is nothing that this band cannot do. Since the time that three high school students decided to collaborate with two total strangers to be eligible to compete in a capella singing-themed competition ‘The Sing Off,’ Pentatonix seems to have the Midas’s touch.
In five years since their inception, the band has released six albums, no mean feat in itself. However, coupled with their hectic touring schedule, the achievement becomes all the more noteworthy. For their sixth effort, the band amazed critics and fans alike by releasing an album featuring completely new material, a departure from their usual repertoire of doing album covers. The response has been positive all across the world, with the album reaching the top of the Billboard charts, a first for the band.
With news of the upcoming tour spreading like wildfire, ticket sales have soared as fans from all over the country vie for a chance to catch their favorite band. According to Excite the average ticket prices for the upcoming tour fluctuates between $ 177 and $ 310. The get in prices have also fluctuated generally between $ 35 and $ 120. However, the lowest get in price is $4 at the Red Hat Amphitheatre at Raleigh whereas the highest get in price is $121 at the Wamu Theater at CenturyLink Field Event Center, in Seattle.
This promises to be a memorable tour for all a capella lovers and one that is not to be missed. Bear in mind that the prices quoted are correct as of 25th February, 2016 and may change depending upon availability and demand.
