Ohana Music Festival’s Concert & Tour History
After its super-successful launch in 2016 with over 20,000 attendees, this year’s Ohana Music Festival promises to be even bigger and better. The Ohana Music Festival 2017 will be once again held on Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California.
It will be a three-day event that will take place on September 8, 9, 10, 2017. With Ohana Music Festival tickets in hand, you can watch live performances of a variety of exciting bands, and walk through the lush grassy areas of the Doheny State Beach. And in case you missed last year’s festival, the Doheny State Beach also offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. One of the biggest punk rock bands, Social Distortion will perform live on September 8.It’s the same band that released No.1 hits such as Story of My Life, Ball and Chain and Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. The band has announced that they are recording another album, which is expected to be released in 2018. In addition to playing from their previous hit songs, the band may also perform from their upcoming albums as well.

In addition to punk rock, you will also get to see one of the best alternative rock artists perform at the Ohana Music Festival. This artist is none than Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam fame. Vedder was recently inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Pearl Jam in 2017. With his powerful baritone vocals, he is all set to entertain fans. In addition to being Pearl Jam’s lead vocalist, Vedder has also gone solo with the release of his debut album, Into the Wild. This Hawaiian born artist became a household name with the release of his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales. The album was certified Platinum in the US and many other countries including the UK and Australia. One of the biggest hits from the album was Flake which charted at No.73 on Billboard Hot 100. In addition to his debut album, Johnson has released five studio albums, spawning hits such as Better Together, Breakdown and Taylor.
If you are looking for variety in the alternative rock genre, then Pixies is your best bet. The band that incorporates elements of surf rock, hard rock, noise pop and psychedelia in their music has influenced the likes of Nirvana, Weezer, Blur, Bush, the Strokes and Radiohead. Ever since their reunion in 2004, Pixies has played to sold-out world tours. Debaser, Head On, Dig for Fire, Monkey Gone to Heaven and Gigantic have been some of their biggest hit singles.
Fiona Apple is an art and baroque pop artist, who shot to fame with her debut album, Tidal. The album won Apple her first Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the single criminal. While this remains her only Grammy Award to date, she has been nominated for several more Grammy Awards in a variety of categories. The categories include Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist. The Naked and Famous are the most famous indie electronic band from New Zealand.
