Turn back the clock to 2002 and things were going relatively well for the Oakland Raiders. They had won both the division as well as the conference titles and were to face the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl. The Raiders came up short and things have looked bleak ever since.
The wheels came off in spectacular fashion and the Raiders haven’t been to the postseason ever since. They have finished either third or fourth in the AFC West so it is safe to say that things haven’t gone according to plan for them. The three time former Super Bowl champions have got to turn things around and do it quick. They cannot let this rut to continue because the longer it goes; the harder it will be for them to bounce back.
The Oakland Raiders will enter the pivotal campaign with high hopes and will have to be formidable at home if they are to get back on track. The fans will have to turn up and make their presence felt as well.
