Anticipation is high among fans for the Houston Texans season. But how does this anticipation translate on to the secondary tickets market?
May 27, 2015
One of the relative new comers to the league, the Houston Texans was formed in 2002. By the looks of it, the team is still trying to find their feet in the league. However, things have been looking up for the last few years. The team finally made it to the playoffs in 2011. This coincided with their first piece of silverware, as they won the AFC South Division championship as well.
The team repeated both feats in 2012 as well, but then once again failed to make it to the playoffs in 2013 and 2014. However, there were some positives to be taken from the last season, the biggest of which was that they improved greatly on 2013’s atrocious 2-14 record. The Texans managed a respectable 9-7 record in 2014 and fans should expect them to build on it.
Let us take a look at how the fan’s expectations are translating on the secondary tickets market. As always, we will analyze the Texans home games only at the NRG Stadium.
In terms of Houston Texans average ticket prices, the Texans’ cheapest games are the two pre season games against the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos. The average ticket prices for the game are $111.55 and $120.24 respectively. The preseason friendlies also have the lowest get in prices at $15 and $25 respectively.
In terms of average ticket price, the most expensive regular Houston Texans season game for the Texans is against the Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots. The average ticket price for that game is $342.97.
The lowest get in price for the regular season is around $29, while the highest get in price stands at $38. The most expensive tickets for the Texans’ home games this season are priced at $114,545.
