A powerful dose of country music- George Strait and Kacey Musgraves prepare to headline the brand-new Las Vegas Arena
The King of Country Music is back y’all and he is making history as the first entertainer to perform at the Las Vegas Arena, slated for opening in April 2016. The prodigious country star is set to perform for a handful of dates in the Sin City with Grammy winning singer Kacey Musgraves as an opening act. Here’s some more information about the news.
Strait to Vegas
That is the title of George Strait’s highly-anticipated residency that has been making headlines because Strait had previously announced he wasn’t going to tour anymore. It still stands true as the icon himself explained, “I said all along I wasn’t going to tour anymore, but I also said that I wasn’t retiring by any means and I still wanted to do some dates. It sure is welcome news for us country music fans, isn’t it?
Speaking about playing at the brand-new, 20,000-seat venue Strait declared, “I’m really, really looking forward to being able to play in the new Las Vegas Arena. I hear it’s just unbelievable. I can’t wait.” Neither can his fans it seems, since George Strait and Kacey Musgraves tickets have been selling out fast.
The King continues to rule
The country music megastar released his latest album Cold Beer Conversation just last month and not surprisingly, it topped the “Country Albums” chart. The thirteen-track album features songwriting from some of the leading writers in the genre. Fingers crossed we get to hear some of these newer singles besides his biggest hits on the upcoming run.
With support from the CMA and ACM award-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, the Country Music Hall of Famer will be playing six-dates at the arena which are 22-23 April, 9-10 September and 2-3 December, 2016.
At our website, average ticket prices for the six shows range from $442 to $890 as of 16.10.2015. The dates in December are fetching the lowest average rates $442 and $470 respectively, as well as the cheapest get-in price at $159. Conversely, the most-expensive show will be the opening one on April 22 currently listing an average ticket price of $890.
Overwhelming fan demand might lead to more dates being added so keep an eye out for that if you miss the tickets to the already announced dates.
