With the NFL regular season approaching expectations run high from the Seattle Seahawks who have made two back to back Super Bowl appearances
May 25, 2015
With two Super Bowl appearances in two years, the Seattle Seahawks have become of the dominant forces in the NFL. Despite failing to win back to back Super Bowls, there can be no argument about the team’s ability, and most sports analysts are backing them for another strong run this year.
As such, there are huge expectations from fans and that anticipation has left an impact on the secondary ticket market. We will focus specifically on the Seahawks’ home games at CenturyLink Field, including both preseason games and regular season games to discern ticket price patterns and trends.
In terms of average ticket price, the least expensive games, predictably, are the preseason games against the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos. The average ticket price for the game against the Raiders is $137.62, while it stands at $188.31 for the game against the Broncos.
The lowest average ticket price for the regular season is for the Seahawks’ game against the Cleveland Brown, with the price at $421.71. The highest average ticket price is for the Seahawks game against playoff hopefuls, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The cheapest ticket on offer this season is for $50, for the preseason game against the Raiders. The get in price for the regular season is fixed at $65 for all the games at CenturyLink Field.
The Seahawks’ most expensive tickets this season are going for $34,500. These are four games for which ticket prices are so high, Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions, Seahawks vs. Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers.
If we take into account the average ticket price and maximum ticket price, then the Seahawks vs. Steelers game is the most expensive home game of the season. In the same way, the preseason game against the Oakland Raiders is the least expensive game of the season.
