Disney On Ice An Extravaganza Unlike Any Other

Disney On Ice, a series of magical touring shows produced by Feld Entertainment, has been captivating audiences since 1981. Each show is unique and features a number of highly skilled figure skaters that bring beloved Disney characters to life. They weave together characters, locations and music from a wide variety of Disney films to enthrall audiences worldwide.

To date, there have been numerous Disney On Ice shows. At any given time, there are at least eight production companies and touring shows being run by Disney On Ice. This helps them perform all over the world, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and all across the Americas at the same time.

Frozen (2014)

Frozen was a huge hit for Walt Disney Studios and went on to become the highest grossing animated film of all time. It therefore wasn’t surprising that it was turned into a Disney On Ice production. Having kicked off in September 2014, the show has continued to be hugely successful and is projected by many to become the most successful Disney On Ice show in history.

Magical Ice Festival (2012)

The Magical Ice Festival officially opened up in September 2012 and was originally called Rockin’ Ever After. Patty Vincent, the highly accomplished director and performer, was brought on to choreograph the show. In 2014, the show was renamed after the Brave elements were replaced with Frozen.

Magical Ice Festival also features stories and characters from the following films:

Treasure Trove (2011)

Treasure Trove was the new name given to the show Disney On Ice Presents: Disneyland Adventure in 2011. Follow Rapunzel and Flynn as they enter the realms of some of your favorite Disney princesses including Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Mulan, Jasmine, Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. They also hit the high seas with Peter Pan and the sassy little Tinker Bell. The adventure through Neverland will take you up close and personal with the scheming Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Explore the wild terrain of Africa with Simba and his pals. You will also get the chance to be a part of the ‘Circle of Life.’ And to top it all off, you’re invited to have tea with Alice and the Madhatter.

Dare to Dream (2011)

Dare to Dream is a Disney On Ice production that made its debut in 2011. It is a show that celebrates 75 years of stories about Disney Princesses. Fans will get the chance to go on a journey with two well-known and loved princesses, as well as two modern-day ones. Join Rapunzel, Tiana, Cinderella and Snow White as they head off to seek adventure.

Let’s Celebrate! (2009)

Let’s Celebrate is a large extravaganza featuring a ton of your favorite Disney characters. The show is described as “One big colossal party on ice!” Fans are invited to celebrate a number of different holidays like a “Very Merry Unbirthday” with Alice, a winter wonderland with Mickey and Minnie, a Halloween haunt with the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, and so much more! The show also features several notable Disney Villains.

Worlds of Enchantment (2008)

Delve into the undersea kingdom of The Little Mermaid. Visit Arendelle, the hometown of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, from Frozen. Take part in high speed thrills with the characters from Cars and witness your favorite toys escape from the Sunnyside Daycare. All of this excitement and more is what audiences at the Worlds of Enchantment show are in for.

Princesses and Heroes (2006)

This is one of the longest running Disney On Ice shows having opened in 2006. Fans can expect to see abbreviated versions of Disney classics with all of the most popular princesses and heroes. The show features incredible lighting and laser effects, and even a fire-breathing dragon brought to life with pyrotechnics!

100 Years of Magic (1999)

Another one of Disney On Ice longest running shows is 100 Years of Magic, also sometimes referred to as the All Star Parade. This show has been around for almost a decade and continues to go through overhauls; switching out characters and storylines for newer ones. Over the course of its run, over fifty different Disney characters have featured in this production.

Today, audiences can expect to join the likes of Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, and Goofy as they explore different elements of various Disney films. After all, they are looking for ideas on how to make a great movie!

Silver Anniversary Celebration (1995)

Officially the longest running touring show under the Disney On Ice banner, the Silver Anniversary Celebration initially opened in 1995 in Florida. It follows an exciting adventure undertaken by Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy Duck, and Goofy. Fans get to tag along as these friends explore many of the exciting areas in which other Disney movies took place.
