On Popular Demand Additional Dates Announced For Dead And Company Tour

Grateful Dead’s spinoff band, Dead and Company started their run last year with something to prove, and they succeeded. Hitting big venues like the Madison Square Garden, the band impressed capacity crowd with their authoritative, tight performance. Now much to the delight of the fans, John Mayer has announced additional US dates and the band will once again board the tour bus performing live in various cities. Besides their US summer tour, Dead and Company will also be among the headliners at the Bonnaroo 2016. Celebrating its 15 years, the festival will return to Manchester Farm from June 9 to 12.

 

Merging three Dead members – Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart with John Mayer, Allman Brothers bassist Oteil Burbridge and RatDog keyboard player Jeff Chimenti, the band will also help end 15 years’ live music drought at the Folsom Field. Last time CU Boulder’s Folsom Field hosted a rock concert was back in 2001 when the Dave Matthews Band came to town. Dead and Company will rock the stadium on July 2 and 3.

The 17-date trek includes two shows at the Citi Field in New York as well as two concluding concerts at the Boston’s iconic Fenway Park on July 15 and 16. Dead and Company will be performing a double set of music, drawing songs from Grateful Dead’s epic collection. A full listing of tour dates can be found below.

The new reincarnation of popular rock act Grateful Dead, Dead and Company are all over the news these days, and for good reason. Comprising three core members from the iconic jam band and featuring popular musicians, including the likes of singing and guitar prodigy, John Mayer, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and bassist Oteil Burbridge, the band is all set for success. Dead and Company have started off with a bang, entertaining thousands of audiences at the famous Madison Square Garden and generating a stream of positive reviews and discussions on social media.

Continuing to sell out
Due to popular demand, the touring outfit has included more dates to their ongoing trek. If you are a Grateful Dead fan, you should definitely check out their upcoming shows. The band has announced eleven new dates for November. They will now be visiting more venues like the First Niagara Center, Bridgestone Arena, Philips Arena, Scottrade Center, and the famous MGM Grand Garden Arena, among others.

At ExciteEvents, average ticket prices for the Dead and Company shows have seen a decline. The December 30 and 31 shows at the The Forum-Los Angeles are now fetching an average price of $188 and $199, respectively, while the shows in San Francisco are also selling cheaper than before. For these upcoming shows the lowest average cost is chalked at $142 for the 18 November gig in Nashville. On the other hand, average ticket price for the gig on 27 November in Las Vegas is fetching the highest rates at $311.

Resurrection of the Grateful Dead- Dead and Company Tour to continue the legacy

Deadheads hold onto your Steal Your Face stickers and posters because the iconic jam band is not done yet! The original Grateful Dead may have disbanded after its recent farewell run, but it seems that most of its members are not ready to part.

So here’s the news which Deadheads all over are likely to welcome with open arms.

The Grateful Dead ain’t all that dead!
Yes, you heard it right. Apparently the wildly popular, fiftieth anniversary , Fare Thee Well Tour wasn’t the last we were going to see of this legendary rock act.

This summer, three of the four core members of the Grateful Dead united alongside John Meyer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge to reincarnate the band under the new moniker, Dead and Company.

The band will continue the legacy of the jam band pioneers, debuting live on 29 October at Times Union Center, Albany. The World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden will host their second show on Halloween Night as well as the third concert on November 1. Other notable venues include the Forum, Los Angeles and Verizon Center-DC, Washington.

Tickets selling fast for the Dead and Company Tour
Dead and Company US Summer Tour will kick off on June 10 from Charlotte and will run through till July 16, final performance taking place at the Fenway Park. Dead and Company tickets have gone on sale and according to ExciteEvents, concerts taking place in Boston on July 15 & 16 have the most expensive tickets. Fans will have to spend $473 and $467, respectively to catch the reincarnation as it honors tradition.

Dead and Company has been roped in to perform at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival for two headlining slots and the tickets are currently averaging at $537. The cheapest concert tickets available on ExciteEvent are for Saratoga Springs taking place on June 21. The event carries a price tag of $186.
