Big Tours of 2015

Numerous music artists and billions of their fans had a fantastic roller coaster ride at the concerts in 2014. Yes folks, 2014 is now just a part of our past. 2015 is here with a promise of some of the most exciting music events of the decade. We will chalk out the big, the small and the most happening tours that will make it a rocking year.

 

Taylor Swift – The 1989 World Tour:

Topping our list of big tours is none other than Taylor Swift. The gorgeous singer-songwriter introduced herself with the self-titled album almost a decade ago. Since then, she has dominated the country music scene as well as mainstream pop. Needless to say, she has become one of the youngest bestselling music artists of all times. Four of her five studio albums debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. These include her latest titular album 1989. The blonde beauty is out on the road to promote her latest album in four continents from spring 2015 on-wards.

One Direction – On the Road Again Tour:

If you’re a fan of Niall Horan or you think Harry Styles is the cutest guy in the world here is news for you. The 1D boys did it again in 2014 when their fourth album, titled Four, landed on the number one position in about twenty countries. Such a feat can only be pulled off if the music group has awesome music along with a great appeal, both of which 1D can boast of. From their fashion statement to heartwarming singles, they have made millions of die-hard fans in every continent. Beginning February until October 2015, the boys will be busy performing songs from their newest album as part of their tour in over twenty countries!

 

5 Seconds of Summer – Rock Out with Your Socks Out Tour:

While we’re on the topic of famous boy bands, there is another one on tour this year – its 5 Seconds of Summer. This quartet of Aussie boys formed their pop band in 2011. The YouTube sensation became an international phenomenon soon. They came in the limelight when they were given the chance to be the opening act by the renowned One Direction for their 2013 world tour. In 2014, the Aussie boys released their own debut album that charted at number one in Oceania, Europe and North America. In 2015, they’re ready to hit the world streets for the ‘Rock Out with Your Socks Out Tour.’ The list of stops includes the home continent, North America, Europe and Japan!

 

Jason Aldean – Burn It Down Tour (Leg 2):

Coming back from Australia to the US, we have a country musician with a guitar in his hand and a cowboy hat on his head. As he performs in the states from his chart-topping album Old Boots, New Dirt, country lovers tip their hats and throw their handkerchiefs at him. Who is he? He is Jason Aldean, the winner of six Academy of Country Music Awards and many others. In 2014, the first leg of his ‘Burn It Down Tour’ through North America was highlighted by more than thirty sold out shows. He’s ready to continue the streak in the second leg and will visit US cities as well as Calgary in Canada. He has invited renowned music artists and fellow country singers to open his shows. These include Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Dee Jay Silver, Cole Swindell and Tyler Farr.

 

Kenny Chesney – The Big Revival Tour:

The next cowboy on our list is Kenny Chesney who has stolen countless hearts since the early 90s. This country singer has his shelves full of awards from every music institute that honors the genre. You name it and he has it; from CMTs to BMAs and from ACMs to AMAs. In his long career, he has released around a dozen albums which produced thirty Top Ten country singles on the Billboard. If that’s not enough, twenty two of these made it to the top of the Hot Country Songs chart. He is now out to entertain fans as he goes to different states across the US in 2015. His banner reads ‘The Big Revival Tour’ which heralds the title from his newest studio album.

 

U2 – iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour:

The phenomenal band came into limelight as a touring act and went on to become the legendary U2 after the release of their 1987 album The Joshua Tree. They have pinned twenty two Grammys on their wall during their rock raids through the decades. With regards to tours, they have topped at holding the highest-grossing and the highest-attended tour in history; ‘U2 360° Tour.’ With their thirteenth album released in the fall of 2014, they are ready to rewrite concert tour history in 2015!

 

Garth Brooks – Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood:

A great American singer weds another great American singer and we get one colossal tour featuring the music of husband and wife; Brooks and Yearwood! Together they have five Grammy Awards to their names and a great number of others. They are teaming up for a tour where fans can enjoy Brooks’ country numbers and Yearwood will entertain with her love ballads. Announced on Good Morning America two years ago, Brooks kicked his retirement and came back on stage to play the tunes for his fans. Continuing from 2014, the couple is ready for round two of their nationwide tour this year.

 

Maroon 5 – Maroon 5 World Tour:

You’ve probably been living under a rock if you haven’t heard Maroon 5 or seen Adam Levine. And if you have, we have good news for you as the famous pop rock band is performing worldwide in 2015. When their fifth album V debuted at number one in the US, everyone was just waiting for the tour to be announced. Much to the satisfaction of their fans, Maroon 5 kicked it off on New Year’s Eve in the Sin City. One month into the year, they’ll begin their concerts again starting from the US and Canada to Europe and Africa.

 

The Who – The Who Hits 50!:

Five decades ago, a small town band English band released their debut album My Generation which caused a few ripples. Flash forward to the present and that same band has now become one of the most iconic rock bands in music history. The Who are the connoisseurs of rock theatrics, the pioneers of rock operas and the trendsetters of rock concerts. They are out to celebrate their fifty-year legacy billed as ‘The Who Hits 50!’. Do not miss it.

 

Foo Fighters – Sonic Highways World Tour:

Dave Grohl, the ex-Nirvana band member, started the Foo Fighters twenty years ago. Eight albums later, Grohl and his fellow members have sold millions in copies and charted scores in singles. Their 2014 album which has a science fiction title to it, Sonic Highways, is the reason for their current tour around the world. In the last month of the releasing year, they headed to South Africa to begin the tour to earsplitting roars of joyful fans. Their final tour leg will bring them over the Atlantic to North America from summer till fall.

These are just few of the big tours that’ll keep you busy during the months to come. However, if your taste varies from the aforementioned, we also recommend ‘That Bass Tour’ by pop star Meghan Trainor, ‘The Great Escape Tour’ by rapper Iggy Azalea, ‘The Honeymoon Tour’ by teen idol Ariana Grande and ‘The Endless Summer Tour’ by Lana Del Rey. If you want old school concerts by seasoned music artists, then 2015 is the year for you.

Miranda Lambert will be performing the second leg of her ‘Platinum Tour/Certified Platinum Tour’. The King of Latin Pop Enrique Iglesias is visiting internationally to promote his latest bilingual album under ‘Sex and Love Tour’. Part Two of his tour is bringing the irresistible singer to North America. Chad Kroeger is going to stop in major world cities with Nickelback to play their latest album under the titular ‘No Fixed Address Tour’.
