AC/DC’s Rock or Bust Tour Continues To Sell Tons Of Tickets In 2016
Following their top-selling North American summer trek, AC/DC announced a second leg of Rock or Bust Tour that will kick off on February 2, 2016 from Tacoma. Last year the Aussie band gave a tough competition to Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters and One Direction by selling the most tickets. The veteran rockers sold up to 2.31 million tickets as they tapped into big markets and even bigger venues. Touring in support of their 17th album “Rock or Bust” that managed to sell 500,000 units in the US alone, AC/DC hit the road after six years which is also one of the reasons for their success.
The upcoming leg will see AC/DC returning to the US for a series of shows and for those who love to rock, the legends will salute you with their presence. The run of concerts start February 2 from Tacoma and is expected to conclude on April 4 at the Madison Square Garden. The addition of more stops is expected as the tour is drawing in huge demand from rock music fans. As the dates grow closer the availability of primary tickets is decreasing and the fans will have to turn to secondary sources for AC/DC tickets.
According to our resources, AC/DC’s scheduled performance at the Toyota Centre in Houston on February 26 has the highest ticket price averaging at $619. And the rising sales of AC/DC Toyota Center tickets clearly suggest that the fans are willing to spend those extra bucks if it means they can listen to their anthems live that are more like hard rock treasures. On the other side of the spectrum, the tour’s cheapest date is their Washington DC concert on March 17, for which the average ticket price is $243.
The multigenerational band attracts rock fans of all ages which is also why they are selling lots of tickets. Retired rockers as well as people in their 50s and above have been packing venues and reliving their youth. And then there are those diehard fans who feel that they have to attend at least one AC/DC concert before the band announces its retirement – which they won’t anytime soon. In any case it has hiked the tickets demand. Saint Paul and Saint Louis are also among the expensive stops and the tickets carry a price tag of $477 and $469, respectively. The high price for Saint Paul’s show is also because it takes place on February 14, the Valentine’s Day and couples will be storming into the Xcel Energy Center.
On our website, the average price for 20 shows in this North American leg is $354. The crowd is treated to a show which according to them is worth every penny spent. The extravagant stage props make it a mind-blowing experience as singer Brian Johnson always introduces the track “Hells Bells” by swinging on a large bell on top of the crowd and the encore is performed amidst explosion of fireworks and firing of canons. AC/DC concert is definitely rock and pantomime at its finest.
